About
One expert. Both worlds.
Most IT companies are a Microsoft shop that tolerates Macs, or an Apple shop that shrugs at Windows. CtrlTech was built to be genuinely fluent in both — because real offices run both.
The short version
CtrlTech is run by Shane — an IT consultant who spends every day inside the systems this site talks about: Jamf-managed Apple fleets, Microsoft 365 tenants, business networks and the printers in between. Not a sales team with engineers out the back. The person you email is the person on the tools.
The name isn't an accident. Ctrl is the most-pressed key on your keyboard — the one that makes everything else work harder. That's the job description: the quiet key under your business that makes everything else just work.
How we work
Fix the cause, not the symptom
Rebooting it until it behaves isn't a strategy. We find out why it broke, so it stops breaking.
Document everything
Your passwords, licences, configs and quirks — recorded properly, so your IT isn't trapped in anyone's head.
No surprise invoices
Quotes before work, fixed monthly plans for ongoing care, and honest advice when the cheap fix is the right fix.
Security by default
MFA, updates, backups and sensible policy aren't add-ons — they're baked into everything we set up.
Where we work
Home base is the Gold Coast, with regular on-site days in Sydney — and because modern IT is mostly cloud and remote-management, most issues are fixed remotely within the hour wherever your office is. On-site when hands matter, remote when speed matters.
The quiet key under your business that makes everything just work.
Sound like your kind of IT?
Start with a chat — tell us what's frustrating you and we'll tell you honestly whether we can fix it (spoiler: usually yes).
